The Asylum 13 Insidious Cigar has a Connecticut Shade wrapper grown in Ecuador. The honey-blond leaf enrobes a smooth mixture of Honduran filler that works perfectly to create a mellow profile that still has a nice flavor. The Insidious Maduro by Asylum takes a solid medium-bodied maduro cigar and makes it even more pleasant by also adding a sweet cap. The wrapper is a dark San Andres Marron laid over the top of the same Honduran binder and long-filler combination of the original Insidious. The flavor has notes of coffee and cocoa, with modest, sweet spices and the cap lends itself to create a mocha-like taste.
