American Classic Blend, Torpedo, 6 1/8 x 50, 24 per box
Alec Bradley has released its first new cigar with a new logo as part of the band. The American Classic is described as miild to medium bodied. This blend of rare aged tobacco has a perfect balance of flavor, complexity and richness. A very smooth cream smoke with notes of cedar and a distinct nutty flavor. The wrapper that adorns the American Classic has a beautiful golden brown color to it that is slightly darker than many of the Connecticut Shade cigars on the market. The American Classic cigar is rolled to perfection and is a well packed stick with a lot of tobacco. The band on this cigar is complex and colorful. The foot of the cigar serves up notes of cedar and a buttery richness while the cold draw serves up the same only more intensified. Once the cigar is lit a faint spice is present that quickly dissipates revealing some notes of buttery richness, nuts, cedar and a slight earth. This cigar is definitely mild but full of flavor. The richness really takes hold 3/4 of the way down with some solid notes of nuts as well. Towards the end there are classic notes of nuts and cedar with a touch of earth. The cigar has a nice finish of cedar and can definitely be described as one classic cigar!
