Casa Turrent

Casa Turrent Serie 1942, named for the birth year of Alejandro Turrent's father, uses a Mexican San Andres negro colorado wrapper grown by the company, with a San Andres criollo leaf for the binder and a filler blend of San Andres criollo, San Andres negro and Nicaraguan tobacco. Turrent calls it a medium to full bodied cigar that is spicy without being aggressive, and offers more complexity that the Serie 1901 line.
The Casa Turrent Serie 1973, named for Turrent's birth year, uses a criollo wrapper and binder from San Andres, while the filler is a blend of San Andres criollo and Nicaraguan leaves. It's more of a medium-bodied cigar, the smoothest and richest ins sweetness of the trio, says Turrent. He added that all three of the lines, Serie 1901, Serie 1942 and Serie 1973 use tobacco that is at least four years old, feature a double binder and utilize leaves from the top primings of their respective plants.
